Germany: the Kässbohrer semi-trailer manufacturer opens up a new plant in Achstetten 2017-07-04
Inaugurated on July 5th in the presence of 300 participants including suppliers (BPW, Wabco, Dekra) And the German Transport and Logistics Association, the factory (the second largest manufacturer in Germany) is located near Ulm in the south-western part of the country.
At 200 km distance from Strasbourg, its location also allows easy access to the northeastern part of France, completing the 41 French outlets and after sales of Kässbohrer. The Ulm plant, meanwhile, is destined to become the main service and after-sales service center for all of Southern Europe.
The event will feature a special day with talks on topics such as autonomous driving or digitization, where guests will be offered a tour of the production unit. The inauguration will also be the occasion to present 4 new products: the K.SCP X a sliding curtain semitrailer with a unique design, K.SCA (air cargo curtainsider) a trailer with a reduced payload of 250 kg, the K.SHF T a new chassis for all types of tanks offering excellent maneuverability and the new K.SKS chassis reinforced body and a unique V-shaped structure that facilitates unloading.
