Algeria: Launch of the production of the Daily model 2017-11-25
The announcement was made yesterday by the group Ival which launched this plant in partnership with the Italian manufacturer of commercial and industrial vehicles Iveco. "With its presence on the Algerian market for twenty years, the Ival group relies on its experience, commitment and extensive positioning in the automotive sector, and offers from November commercial vehicles produced in Algeria, "said the group in a statement. The Ival plant has in fact already started production since the end of last July, during which the CEO of the Ival group, Mohamed Bairi, said: "We have obtained all the authorizations to start production." Since then, some units (Iveco Daily) were also assembled in this industrial unit, which is located in Ouled Heddadj.
And for the commercial launch of its MIB vehicles, Ival prefers to wait for the next national production fair to be held at Safex between 21 and 27 December. However, the Iveco vehicle assembly plant in Ouled Heddadj, in the wilaya of Boumerdès, is spread over an area of 3000 m², including a 1500 m² assembly plant and an open area of 1500 m² for reception and storage of production inputs. While waiting for the reception of the assembly plant in Bouira, this pilot unit is dedicated to the production of the Daily Iveco, with a total gross weight ranging from 3.5 to 7 tons.
This unit, which consists of an assembly line, will have a production capacity to reach volumes of the order of 3 vehicles / day (or 650 to 700 vehicles / year), details Ival in the same release . This unit already offers around 100 workstations (agents and executives, in preparation, assembly and quality control activities as well as personnel in charge of technical management (method / logistics ....) And administrative (personnel / finance and administration, according to the same source.
As for the mounting operation, it is articulated around a chassis frame on which are mounted the mechanical parts (engine, gearbox, bridge and axle), the electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and the interior and all the features of the vehicle. To these assembly operations are added those of preparation of the axle, the engine and the coupling motor and gearbox, as well as the operations of parameter setting and quality control. The Ival group also specifies that the production, control and quality are the standards of the Iveco licensor.
And as such, Iveco has implemented a whole training process for several months, and all its staff has a continuous technical training that will allow them to achieve a level of control to the standards required by Iveco.
