Algeria: Ival postpones the opening of its factory (Iveco) in September 2017-07-16
Ival said that the main reason for this decision is caused by the unavailability of the CEO of the Italian manufacturer Iveco. This inauguration is therefore postponed until next September.
As a reminder, the Iveco / Ival plant located in the east of Algiers will produce Iveco daily utility vehicles. "We will start with a single line with a capacity of 650 vehicles per year," said Mr. Bairi, CEO of the Ival group a few days ago, he added: "We will start directly with the CKD (Complete Knock Down) system, with the assembly of 550 parts directly at the level of the factory which is open to subcontracting."
With the start of production of this plant, a partnership between Iveco and Ival, the Algerian automotive market will be expanded by a new plant, in addition to those already in production, namely those of Renault in 2014, Hyundai in 2016 And Volkswagen a few days ago.
