Parts manufacturers and motor vehicle equipment in Spain realized in 2016 a turnover record of 34 billion Euros. According to Sernauto (Spanish equipment manufacturers' association), these good results can be explained by the improvement of the economic situation in Spain and Europe, which is the main destination for Spanish exports.

Nearly 60% of the turnover was realized for export in 2016, 19.5 billion Euros (+ 3.2%). Turnover in Spain is as follows: 9.6 billion Euros from manufacturers and the rest on the spare parts market.

In addition, equipment companies in Spain created more than 7,000 jobs last year, bringing the sector's workforce to 212,000 direct jobs.
