Alper Kanca, chairman of the Automobile Parts and Components Manufacturers' Association (TAYSAD), said that the Turkish automotive industry continued its momentum and that Turkish industry had demonstrated its solidity in the eyes of the National and international operations.

The industry continues to grow, Alper Kanca notes that "as we know, our country went through difficult times last year and the Turks, who believe in democracy, have survived these difficult times thanks to the unshakeable position of our political parties and our security forces. Our country is continuing its course in an economically stable structure. Last year, the Turkish automotive industry and the components industry once again proved themselves by fulfilling all the promises made to their global consumers.
Alper Kanca, President of TAYSAD, said: "Our export success can be seen as a result of our efforts over the past two to three years. In addition, our current investments are increasing, especially new incoming foreign investment, which are the irrefutable proof of our results ".
Exports from the automotive industry increased by 22 per cent in the first quarter
President Alper Kanca said: "The Turkish automotive industry is also one of the major production centers of the global automotive industry. The Exports made by Turkey to 180 countries and countries of the European Union are also important markets.
The total of exports from the automotive industry increased by 22 per cent to 14.5 billion in the first half of 2016-2017. Our total production increased during the first half of 20% and reached 869,000 vehicles. We aim to manufacture more than 1,650,000 vehicles, export 1,350,000 vehicles and reach an export volume of more than 27 billion dollars by the end of the year. "
