Europe : Autodis Group starts in the connected vehicle 2017-06-20
Autodis Group, the parent company of the Autodistribution group, is diversifying its activity by entering into the capital of the start-up Oocar, specialized in the connected car sector.
Autodis Group is a major player in the distribution of spare parts and independent multi-brand auto and PL in Europe through the Auto distribution group and its various brands, and intends to develop in the connected vehicle and more particularly in connected maintenance. As such, the group has just announced a minority stake in the capital of the start-up Oocar.
Created in 2015, it offers a data and services platform for the after-sales and auto insurance sectors. Combined with a case connected to the vehicle diagnostic socket, its application allows the motorist to find on his Smartphone a lot of information related to his driving, vehicle use, wear and tear and, logically, the maintenance operations to be carried out.
But as the start-up aims to create a genuine ecosystem of partners to connect more than two million vehicles in Europe over the next three years, this combination with Oocar will enable Autodis to become one of the leaders in Europe, Maintenance and repair.
Thanks to this new growth, the AD and Mondial Pare-Brise networks will be able to offer a real loyalty tool capable of following their customers, knowing them better, and ultimately offering them the most suitable solutions to their needs.
