Renault Russia: 15,000 auto-bodies for the factory of Oran 2017-05-14
Facing a strong domestic demand, the French automaker has used its factory located in Russia.
Thus, the diamond brand is expected to receive more than 15,000 Symbol-type bodies this year for the needs of its factory in the west of the country, Oued Tlelat. This was announced yesterday by a Russian official at the Algerian-Russian forum held in conjunction with the 50th International Fair of Algiers. The Renault group from Russia will also provide the bumper, lights and other spare parts to Renault Algeria. In 2016, the Oran plant received more than 2000 bodies. The French brand occupies this year a stand at the level of the Russian pavilion where she exhibits its expertise in the automotive field.
Renault plant located in Oran of Algeria turned to AVTOVAZ the largest Russian manufacturer of cars for the help in ensuring the production of bodies previously imported in Algeria from Romania, but its site was overloaded.
Avtovaz will add two working days on car body production for the Renault factory in Algeria, as stated by the press office of the company trade union. Renault Algeria Production factory, which was founded at Oued Tlelat (in Oran province of Algeria) in 2014, is a joint venture between Renault Group (49% share) and the Algerian state. Renault Symbol and Dacia Sandero Stepway models are currently being manufactured in the plant.
