Algeria: Automotive sub-contracting: the Spanish group Sesé moves into Algeria 2017-07-04
The Spanish group Sesé signed on Tuesday (July 4th) in Algiers, an agreement with Sovac for the creation of a mixed company in automotive subcontracting in Algeria. "We have just created a JV (joint venture) with the Spanish company Sesé to organize logistics in our factory based in Relizane and develop a platform for exporting spare parts for vehicles," says Mourad Oulmi, CEO of Sovac and Volkswagen Production Algeria.
The Spanish group Sesé is one of the subcontractors of the Volkswagen group. "The group is a logistics specialist and automotive suppliers that will help us organize the logistics and develop the production of spare parts," adds Oulmi. "Logistics is essential for export," he said.
The company was created just a few days after the official inauguration of the Volkswagen vehicle assembly plant of Relizane. This factory, owned by Sovac and the German manufacturer, has begun assembling four models: Golf, Ibiza, Octavia and Caddy.
